CAREER: CV & Resume checklist (printable)
CV Checklist:
1. Start with your name on top, to the right, and your contact details, including phone and private e-mail, to the left
2. Give a short summary of your profile
3. State your work experience in this sequence: Title, Company, start and end month and year. If it is not a wellknown company, briefly mention size and area of activity. Be sure NOT only to state what have \"worked with\", but carefully and concisely describe what results you achieved and quantify as much as possible and be specific about how you achieved your results. This is very important.
4. List your education achievements
5. List other honours, membership of boards, organisations etc. - use the opportunity to show how pro-active you are.
6. List other skills, notably languages, IT skills etc.
7. Depending on the job, list other personal matters as marital status, smoker/non smoker, interests/hobbies
8. Tailor your CV to the job, particularly if you are somewhat or very experienced, you should carefully the choose the areas that you expect the future employer - or indeed the recruiter - to be most interested in. Remember, they are looking for the perfect fit.
9. Do not cheat. It is wrong and could instantly ruin your entire career. Remember that services like www.verifile.com (not sponsoring this) are used.
