* Apply to companies you want to work for, even if they don't have a current opening
* Use new social media methods
* Utilize free classifieds online to look for open positions
* Use several of the job search websites
* Contact placement agents - they are free for the job hunter to use
* Realize that job hunting is a process and won't happen over night
* Be prompt in replying to companies who do reach out
* Write a gripping cover letter, tailored for each company you apply for
