CONFERENCES: Fashion Show & Dinner checklist (printable)
Many events that include a fashion show and dinner are thrown exclusively for the purpose of raising money for a charitable cause. Whether you are throwing one or attending one, there are several things to consider.
• Dress code. Is this a more casual outdoor event or an evening affair?
• Parking. Is VIP parking available? Is there room to self park? Is valet parking available? Is there ample room for those who arrive in limousines?
• Are there red carpet photo opportunities?
• Know the designer of the clothing you are wearing.
• Is there assigned seating for each party?
• Know the charity responsible for the event and do a little research prior to attending.
• Is a donation the day of the event necessary or is it included solely in the price of the tickets? Bring any means necessary to contribute over and above the initial donation.
• Know who the guest speakers are.
• Know the time frame in which the event begins and ends.
• Is there an afterparty?
