Providing excellent customer service is important for any business. It is what keeps customers coming back for more. Some tips on being customer service oriented are below.


* Always sympathize with the customer when they have a complaint
* Listen to the customer in full before addressing any concerns
* Take a proactive approach in making customers happy
* Offer rewards and bonuses for frequent shoppers
* Listen to the customers needs and look for ways to improve your product or service
* Create an email list as a way to stay in touch with customers
* Also speak with energy and enthusiasm
* Ask customers how their day is
* For email inquires, reply to the customer within 24 hours
* Always answer the phone promptly
* Don't put customers on hold if possible, they deserve your attention
