SALES: Basic Sales Tips checklist (printable)
This is a basic list on what to remember if you're selling something, and ain't we all:
1. Double your enthusiasm. Then double it again. Get real excitement from acting excited.
2. Practice regular smiling - it often creates a feeling of happiness and goodwill. Try it out for 30 days and see what happens.
3. Make 4-5 calls every day.
4. Keep records on appointments and results.
5. Use advance weekly planning sheets. Plan during the weekend. Saturday morning is good, you'll feel good for the rest of the weekend.
6. Don't "sell" - find out what the buyer wants and needs and help him or her to find it.
7. Use "You", keep the customer in focus, not the general public or somebody else.
8. Increase your knowledge of your business, your competitors and your industry
9. LISTEN, don't crack too many jokes.
10. Don't hesitate to praise your competitors to a certain extend.
11. Don't argue - ask clever questions instead
12. Use people's first names, less so in some European countries
13. Use casual "pick-up" lines, like "So, is it time to buy a new car" or "How did you happen to get in to the XYZ business?"
14. Increase your self-discipline
