SALES: Up-selling checklist

Up-selling is a proven way to send your sales soaring to new heights. Here are a few things to remember when asking your sales staff to up-sell clients:

Talk with the customer about their background

Know your product well

Watch what catches your clients eye or attention

Don't decide what a customer can afford
*
Try to accessorize something they've just purchased
*
Be specific in what it is you want to sell them
*
Let them hold/touch the product
*
Tell them they have made a good choice

Don't be too pushy
