STRATEGY: SWOT analysis checklist
SWOT analysis is an important part of a marketing plan. Consider the following when creating your SWOT analysis.
* SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
* Strengths are current aspects of the company which give it an advantage
* Weaknesses are current aspects of the company which need to be solved to be successful
* Opportunities are potential areas the company can tap into in order to become more successful
* Threats are potential external factors which may cause the company to fail
* Deep thought should be spent on all 4 areas
* For Weaknesses and Threats (negatives), the company should come up with solutions
* For Strengths and Opportunities (positives), the company should capitalize on them
* Be able to verify any facts you include
* Don't stop the list at a specific number of points, continue until it is exhausted
