TRAVEL: Travel Testimonial checklist
A good travel testimonial is enjoyed by all. To keep from boring your audiences, here are a few tips:
• Focus on the activities you actually participated in.
• Many travelers head to the same major tourist attractions but more exciting is the exploring outside of those areas. So, while it’s mildly interesting that you went to the Eiffel Tower, people would rather hear about something that you discovered “off the beaten path”.
• Everyone loves when you laugh at yourself, so an antidote about one of your travel “mistakes” is a great addition.
• Think about how long your trip was and if it was adequate time to stay. Other travelers like to know how many days they should spend at any given destination.
• Ponder what you wished you’d brought with you from home during your travels. This is an invaluable tip to give to other travelers.
• In moderation, make sure to include pictures of each activity. Too many pictures become tiresome for those hearing of your adventure!
